Srinagar, Mar 19 (KNO): The government has directed the School Education Department to conduct serious inspections and monitor class transactions of minimum two classes a day to maintain academic standards. The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has leant that the administrative secretary to government for the School Education Department, B K Singh has said that the directors of both Jammu and Kashmir regions shall issue and circular in this regard. In a meeting, held in last week of February, Singh said, “Principals, headmaster and Head of the Institutions (HoIs) shall take serious inspection and shall monitor class transaction of minimum two classes daily and place observation on record to maintain academic standard.” He directed the Directors of both regions to issue circular instructions on this behalf. Besides, Singh also said, “All Chief Education Officers (CEOs) should be responsible for operation of select, waiting lists received from JKSSB in time, any delay from the directors of Jammu and Kashmir regions; administrative department level shall be dealt very seriously.” In the meeting, the government also said, “Directors of School Education of Jammu and Kashmir and DSES, CEOs shall ensure that all Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) be convened as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to fill all vacancies pending in the School Education department since long. “Applications received in respect of up-gradation, affiliation and recognition of private schools under JKBOSE, CBSE should be redressed as early as possible,” the government has said—(KNO)
